Ty Hafan Christmas Present Donation Drive

At this time of year, it’s important to us as a company to give back to our community and spread Christmas cheer to those in difficult situations. Christmas can be a hard time of year for families with children who have life-limiting conditions, that’s why we have organised a present donation drive for the children of Wales that are supported by Ty Hafan. 

Ty Hafan is a Welsh charity that provides holistic and palliative care to children with life-limiting conditions while also supporting their families. The Ty Hafan Hospice is the only children’s hospice of it’s kind in South Wales and has supported over 1,104 children and their families for the last 22 years, offering support that is tailored to each family’s individual needs. 

The children that are supported by this amazing service have many different complex needs and conditions, from Duchenne muscular dystrophy, to severe cerebral palsy and very rare genetic conditions. Providing palliative care to these children means taking a holistic approach of which the child’s emotional, social and spiritual needs are taken care of as well as their physical needs. This means providing support during distressing situations for both the children and their families. Families can access 24-hour support from Ty Hafan staff, meet up with other parents and siblings in similar circumstances and they can receive bereavement support for as long as they need. This approach ensures families can stay together and be supported during difficult times.  

Team Inspired have come together and donated an amazing selection of gifts for children of all ages that are supported by Ty Hafan. From dolls to gift sets, to board games and sensory toys these gifts will go to the children receiving care as well as their siblings and family members to brighten their Christmas and their stay at Ty Hafan Hospice. These children are resilient, strong and brave, we are so happy to treat them in our own little way. We hope they have a wonderful Christmas.
